    Default Obsession

I've fished all my life in the north east, lake trout, brown and rainbow, walleye, bass. I started this quest for white perch July 4 last year. I went with my brother in law who owns the store at larto and the addiction was on. Bought a boat, rods, holders, put an RV at larto cabins for the year, spending every weekend I can in pursuit of the white perch. You may miss me April 17, as my wonderful wife pointed out, it was time to give her a weekend in NOLA. Small price to pay, I'll be back on the 24th trying to lower the water level at Larto by filling my cooler.

I've also just gotten the crappie bug in the last few years and my dad has caught it as well at the age of 73. He's been doing nothing but crappie fishing lately...
They are just to pretty not to catch this time of year in particular, when the water is clear and they have their courting gear on.

    Hey OL,

I understand were your coming from.

What I don't understand is why not take your wife to NO and then go fishin and pic her up when she's ready? Or when she's macs out your visa card.

You can walk away from WP fishing for years and once you pick it back up you realize it still has you hooked.

Oldyankee, if you haven't been, it's an experience. The WWII museum is excellent, the Audubon Aquarium is cool, as well as the Audubon Insectarium. I always get my fix at the Hard Rock Café there. If you're driving from Lafayette, you'll pass by Cabela's in Gonzales. Didi's son has a café near the French Market in the quarter. Just thought I'd let you know in case you haven't been. By the way - how did the camper problems work out? Just thought I'd ask.
