This is not a site to post about hating anyone, period. The only thing you can hate is not catching fish. Or not being able to get out to go fishing.

Sorry if I offended Oldyankee or anyone else by trying to make a funny about how I would attach a Yo Yo to a limb. Just trying to put a little personality in my post, but I keep forgetting how easily people get offended when they read something vs when spoken. I just thought when I put LOL ( laugh out loud ) behind my statement, people would know it was humor. I don't know what post was the reason for deleting Oldyankee's original post, but if it was mine, I am truly sorry.
Myself I missed the hateful posts that got you fired up. I heard about them today from someone who saw them prior to getting deleted and I can understand where you are coming from. I think in not having seen the offensive posts I read yours to literally. I think I understand. It's not so much the mention of fishing methods as the personal antagonistic hateful way of referring to other people or their ways of fishing.
I can give that an Amen.
As already stated, I was naive to the yoyo issue, Never used one, or seen one before last week. Had a couple of friends call me and told me the proverbial can of worms I opened. Just was curious on how they were attached. I am new to the south fishing, and trying to learn and this sight has helped me greatly. Nor offended, and appreciate the help I have received. Thanks slab for keeping this sight positive.
I think the idea is that if it's a legal means of fishing we should not bash it on here. I do hope that anyone that fishes with trotlines, limblines, yoyo's or anything else of that nature - polices themselves and retrieves them after the fishing is done.
Really it's a very similar idea to what's going on in hunting.... ie... I personally dont have anything to do with running dogs to hunt wild pigs... but if peoples rights to do so are challanged I believe that i should stand up for their rights to hunt how they legally please. The main reason i should stand up for them, is so that when someone else try's to take away my right to do something i enjoy people will join with me in keeping my legal activity as a right.
At least... IMO...
