]With the spawn over for the most part near houma(although will hit basin soon) decided to change gears . Fished Saturday found a great top water bite on some decent trout up to 20 inch (lost one about 5 at the boat and broke another big fish off). Kept a limit. Released about 10 more. Had 100 plus blowups. Also caught a limit of reds as they were pretty easy targets in the clear shallow ponds

Was thinking about a trout repeat today but much slower. Not sure why with approaching front. Even though trout were slowredfish were attack mode lots of 26-30 inch monsters. Ended up with 10 trout including one 24 inch 4 lb 10 oz beauty. Plus another8-10 redfish on topwater and a baby minus 1. Released all but 1 redfish. Bigger than I care to keep. But sure fun.
