Bonne Idee 3/21/14 Me and the wildman

Jaythan's been after me for three days to take him fishing so today was his turn. Wanted to go to Poverty but decided we better avoid the crowd today, it get's rough and rowdy sometimes having a three yr old in the boat with you....

Caught a decent mess, maybe 25 or so mixed fish all on the bank. We could not find the big fish on the bank today, don't know if they've came and gone already or what the deal is. Did catch a decent green trout right before we quit.

It seems like i lost or missed three or four to every one fish i caught today. Started out fishing Jokers on 1/8th heads and after missing what seemed like a dozen straight bites i switched over to a 1/16th and a midsouth tube. I still missed fish but it didn't seem AS bad. Last year i run into the problem of crappie striking the tail on Jokers, even pulled one fish out of the water with him only holding the tail. Has any one else experienced this?

All in all we had a good day and Jay didn't mind one bit that we weren't catching two pounders......

How far is wollen from farmerville? I would think that's quit a drive.

And if you look close at the last pic you can see he's learned how to long arm fish. his papaw must have taught him that trick...
