    Default Attakapas Landing-Friday-3/21.......Tuff....Tuff Day.....

Guys, I am beginning to question my fishing skills.....it has been rough down there last few trips.....only factor I can put my hand on is the cloudy days.....they definitely do better then.....so next trip I will be looking for a cloudy day or plan to get rained on....

Like last trip, I ran into some serious fog from Plaquemine all the way to the landing....ran into Bayoudog, his son and his son's friend at the landing......parking lot was almost full.....fished around the landing for a while waiting for the fog to lift.....fished a canal off Verrett and got 2 small bass on shiners.....then moved south into Bayou Sherman and Cheramie.....wound up catching 2 keeper bass, one keeper sac, 8 goggle eye, 3 gar, & (2) - 8" bass......early morning is the best bite.....give me a day's rest and I will recharged to go again.....

Dunno the area you fish, but if you got to fish AND caught fish, sounds like a good day to me P.S! Hope the recharging goes good and you enjoy next trip. Fish or not.

Mr. Bruce it was nice seeing you. We did not put a fish in the boat, went get worms and tried catfish in the lake. It was my son's friend first time to be out around the swamp and fresh water fishing so he enjoy the wildlife. it nice for me to be able to spend some time with them!! I do agree with you about the cloudy days, last time I caught some it was overcast. The water temp. really surprised me from 61 to 68/70 in some areas? Did do a little exploring for next trip!!

Unfortunately. Don't think is the weather it's just that area has spawned for the most part. What fish there is anyway. Not overly abundant to begin with in those areas right now.
