Finally caught a FEW fish yesterday afternoon. A friend and I went to Chicot about 2:30 - 6:00. Wind was blowing pretty bad but were able to get into the think cypress trees at the North Landing. We caught 1 chickapin, 1 bluegill, and about 10 white perch. but half of the white perch were real small. Caught most of them in one tiny little area close to the bank. the wind really picked up at 5:30 and they shut it down. Temp dropped drastically. I fished a blue thunder bobby garland shad under a cork, and he fished a black and chartreuse. But the blue thunder had a much better bite. Anyway, after so many skunked trips, it was good to feel a tug again.
On a seperate note, I did hear that Miller's Lake was producing well last week. I was going to go this morning, but the weather was not cooperative. Maybe tomorrow.
Good report. Thanks.
Never been to Millers. The old timers tell me the next couple warm of days the fish will spawn at Larto. Bloody egg sacks is the clue
