Default Turkey Creek at Wisner LA

Has anybody been or heard anything on this lake? I have not fished Turkey Creek in years but was wondering if the crappie numbers have gotten back yet? It used to be a great lake to fish before it was drained. Let me know, Thanks.

Don't know about crappie, but heard the bass fishing is starting to get better so maybe everything is improving. Don't know if it will ever get back like it was.

That's pretty country around there, but's it's been 20 years since I've seen it. I would be interested to know more about it.

Haven't heard a thing. I haven't fished it in several years, but I don't think many members fish it, if you know any locals they may could tell you something. Jim you may want to call the turkey creek state park n camp ground, I'm sure they should be able to tell you something.

Thanks for the replies. The draining of the lake was not the first time that it has happened. I am told we will need a few river risings in the spring to get it going again. Jim

    Everyone have a good weekend!
