    Default Solo reels.

I bought three solo reels and have enjoyed using them, however I am having a problem. Somehow the line is slipping through the joint on the bottom where the two sides come together. Has anyone else had this problem? It has been happening two or three times a trip. I have loosen the knob and separate the side a little to slip the line back through.

Dunno.....I have had no problem out of mine. These reels are just jigging pole reels only made for just line storage.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

That's all I am using them for. I love them, other than this one problem.

I have been waiting for a little better quality reel of that kind. Use to use those plastic ones. Seems like the solo is going to do the trick. Just that one issue

I see that about once every other trip now, and have learned to muscle the line back the way it went in. The real is so good I can tolerate that flaw.

I'm wondering though if they should be greased every so often. Mine go in the water often as that's the easiest way to get to a tangled rod tip sometimes. One of them seems to turn a little rough and I've been meaning to hunt down the proper lube.

I have experienced the same problem. Haven't been able to figure out how to prevent it.
