Weekend at Millers and Lake Chicot

Tried out Millers in the morning, caught two small bass and that was it. There was a little kid with the older man at the landing asking everyone who came in if they caught and everyone said no.. left Millers and headed to Chicot and caight a tiny bass at the locks. Chicot was real muddy, and it was windy as heck. I heard one guy at Chicot telling someone that he tore them up.

You are right, it was windy as heck. Caught 6 nice bass. Kept a 4 pounder and a 3.5 pounder on a road runner tipped with a shiner.

Anyone fish Chicot this week? Was thinking about going back. I talked to a guy on the water last weekend that caught a 3 pound sacalait fishing for bass with a rogue.

I bass fished Chicot this afternoon. Caught one 16" bass and one alligator gar. Both caught on a red squarebill crankbait. South end looked muddy. I launched and fished the north end.
