On my way.
Naw--- They all stayed, afraid they would loose their spot
I wonder how many perch have been taken out of the lake in the last 4 days? I had another good day. Jim
Always interesting watching some of the circus acts at the launch. In the basin (Adams Landing) I saw a guy in his boat while being backed in by his wife. He yelled "back up" and she thought he said "go back" and she pulled out of the hole with the boat balancing on the back of the trailer wearing the lower unit and the back of the boat out. It was before daylight so she couldn't see what was going on (no lights there). We ran over and got on the bow before it came completely off the trailer. They gave it a try again and to our surprise, took off with everybody else. This is a sorry launch with 2 launches. At that time (late 70's) there were about 150 boats trying to launch.......an unbelievable fishery at that time in the basin as people who fished it then will also attest to. Limit of bass by 10 and a limit of WP by 2. The basin is a sad shell of what it used to be. Hope all the folks at the launches at Darbonne keep their wits and get launched safely and out of the way. Great times at Darbonne ....enjoy....SLIP
Some poor man launchedhis boat before it hit the water at jakes. He disengage his winch and when he broke over on the ramp the boat launched before it hit the water.
Saw two fellas put in and start fishing without their plug in. They were sitting real low as the ran back to the ramp, second guy still sitting in the back of the boat. Instead of running the boat they wanted the boat on the trailer. He kept going in circles until they could run it up on the trailer. Good luck to all today, hoping to fish next weekend but maybe near the banks? Jim
