Way to go David! Thanks for posting and representing us.
David,
Congrats to you and James, middle of the pack ain't no shame there my friend! I have been wondering all weekend how y'all were enjoying the event. The experience I am sure was great. Just to attend one would be major COOL! Id like to hear your stories sometime soon!
Good Job! Way to Represent!
I read the winning weight was 16.12 or something like that To put that in perspective the 2.3 lb crappie I caught in 2012 is the only 2 plus lb crappie I have ever caught. That was the average in the 7 fish winning stringer. WOW:yikes
Team Dpisani , Fishervet , and Fish on Line ;;;; Last place with every line tied in knots, one fish in the boat and no one knows who caught it.
Funny, Fol. They would put all 3 of us in one boat and spot us 4 fish. Some how we would make it to the weigh in with only 3 fish. Oh well, our weinie dogs think we are good fisherman. Good enough for me.
Thanks for all the kind words. I must say though that Freebird carried most of the load on tournament day. I was catching some good fish the day before but was off the day of the tournament. It was a great time and I had an awesome partner to spend it with. Thanks to Steve (luvpt) for all the support and guidance over the last few years. Also congratulations to Steve and David for finishing in the money. It was a tough tournament. As Crappie Masters was saying; these were some of the best crappie fishermen (and girls) in the nation. Although it would have been great to win or place in the money being in the middle of the pack with this group ain't all bad. On a lighter note 51th place got a consolation price; we missed it by .08#. We did beat a team that was two time national champs; with that and $3.39 and can buy another bag of slab slayers.......
Great job guys. At least you can never fish your first Crappie Masters again. I am sure by what I was able to listen to from you two, you will place in or win tournaments in the future. Sounds like you did real well. Don't stop enjoying fishing together because that is really what it is all about.
I think that's pretty cool, going to another state, in a major tourney, and getting midpack! I'm glad you both enjoyed yourselves and caught fish too!
Congrats Freebird!!
Well bless my Ol soul. It's my ol buddy twalton. Wish I had a dollar for every mile we walked coon huntin.
