Hello My handle is Fast. I started reading this forum last year for knowledge. Was pleasantly pleased with the information from fellow fisherman as I am always eager to learn something. As you know the info on products,methods and spots to fish is abundant.
One of the things that impressed me was the friendliness and fellowship of people. It was then I realized it was good place to make some new fishing buddies.
Before joining, after some googling of a fellow named Paw Paw Gene I tracked him down. ( Saw a picture on gardening forum). Some of you may know him. He wears a funny hat and he's a super nice guy.
We went fishing and had a good time. As an added bonus we caught some slabs. See Paw Paw Gene post (A Pleasant Suprise)
Here's what a friend of mine and I caught Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Less 30 of the bigger ones that we ate at the camp. We only brought a gallon of milk,a half gallon of cooked white beans,two loaves of French Bread. We had 5 potatoes,an onion, and some cornmeal and oil at camp. If we didn't catch fish the rabbit that lives under the camp would have perished and been put into the pot.



Caught close to bank blue and white grub body with triple fan tail 1/32 head under cork 9 7/8 inches under cork.some on shiners also.

Have made friends with Fishervet by phone. He was gonna come fishing with us tomorrow but I gotta work. Also talked to BFlowers and it's possible he may be able to bring his family to catch some fish with us down here.

Hey Fast, welcome to the forum. It's good to see you here. Folks give Fast a great big welcome as he is a super guy and very generous. Let me tell you how generous he is, he call me over yesterday to take pictures of the fish he caught and then gave me permission to clean them. Now that's a good friend. Just kidding Fast I enjoyed helping you get those fish ready for the pan and I ate some tonight.

Good catch Fast.. Gotta a bunch of buddies down there in Houma and even make some beagle field trials down there when I can. Y'all got plenty of rabbits. We usually make a hunt once a year down there.

Fast I bet we know some of the same people... We trial some of our rabbit dogs over at Houma airport too.
