Bell City Drain Ditch 2/22/14

I kept 8 bass and 3 sacs. I miss counted the bass. I thought I had more. I threw a bunch back. I found a cut with running water and hooked a bass every time I went a foot off the bottom. The water was muddy Yoohoo muddy except in he superior canal. I fished deep and on the banks and missed a few good fish. I then went to an area I have caught spawning sacs before. The water was so muddy but the depth finder said 68 degrees. The canal is only 5ft deep. I rigged up 6in deep with a shiner and on the first cast the cork didn't float. I get the fish halfway to the boat and it pulls off. I make 3 more cast in about a 12 yards of bank and put 3 in the live well. I think to myself this could be the day. Then the phone rings. Family emergency.

Vet I talked to a buddy of mine who has been catching 15 to 30 a trip on that spot. He said the full moon it is going to be on. This guy is retired and has brush piles there and on laccassine and the mermentau. Right now he I fishing every day and He is saying they are building the beds.
