    Default Anyone fishing Larto?

Been in the house way too long, so a road trip is needed..Larto seems to be a good place to go this time of year, I just have not seen to many reports coming from there. I was there about three weeks ago and caught a few deep trolling but did best hitting the banks in about 2 f.o.w. If anyone has a idea whats going on up there now, the information would be greatly appreciated…Thanks in advance…Bayoucrappie

Fished bayous off Saline and then up the bayou a ways. Fished around horse island. Fished shallow early and late, and deep in between. 3 men with jigs and shiners. Not a bite was had. Fewest boats I've ever seen in February. Most of them were in a bass tourney.

a friend and I went to the Buzzard roost Saturday. the lake was up 2 1/2 feet, according to the Larto store owner. Fished for 3 hours without a bite. All boats i spoke with said the same, except for 1 boat. He had 1 fish.

If the water is rising in Saline Larto you might as well stay home. They just won't bite there on a rise.
