Well, praise the Lord! The mechanic called today, Saturday afternoon, and told me that my boat was ready to pick up. So, when we take the grandchildren home Monday, I am going to pick up the "Little Darlin." Wood Marine, in Ruston, put the 40 horse, my pa-in-law gave me, on my boat, went through the top end, changed lower unit oil, and installed new water pump. I even had them put me in two new batteries. The "Little Darlin" should be ready for a little fishing.
I don't know where I will be Tuesday morning, but if nothing tears lose I hope to be fishing somewhere. With all of the fresh water I am not sure where to go. I may put it back into Lake Claiborne and see if I can find some of those deep crappie. Or I may leave it on the trailer for a while and try some of that "strange" water somewhere else.
If anyone finds a few this weekend in north Louisiana, (D'Arbonne, Cypress, or Poverty Point) please let me know. I promise not to go and catch all of them. LOL.
