Good job Gene
Well fellas, I had a good night sleep and my allergies didn't affect me much, just a little itching in the eyes. Let's hope I'm over it all. JR, yes these were caught yesterday and yes there is some gold in there. The funny thing is even the white one was a male but he wasn't against the bank. We were fishing in the Dularge Hunting Club today the water is clearer there than some of my other favorites at this time of year. Gonefishin, we'll get together one evening this week. I'd invite all of you down here to enjoy the weather but overnight the front made it through and we went from great weather to lousy. It's rainy and chilly this morning and will be that way for a couple of days. Those of you in the ice belt drive carefully and take care. Thanks all for the comments.

We have not caught any Black Crappie deep in the channel lately at the Bone. Makes me wonder if they are slipping off somewhere. the water temp was 40 sunday
Good report nice pics
Good job Gene! I fished Orange Grove with live shiners on Sunday, and didn't get a bite! Water was a bit dirty all the way to the back, and but the water temps were about 55 degrees by noon......Sure hoping the fish are there this year.:dono
Nice catch Mr. Gene. Tried bayou black Monday with no luck on sacs but did manage 5 bass. Wish the weather would cooperate! Warm, cold, warm, cold. Water was very low too. Shouldn't be long though.
Welcome to the forum Coon Popper! Looks like you're from where Gene is. Glad you're with us and posting.
Pretty!
Nice catch! Love those big blacks!
Welcome Coon Popper, nice to see another local on CDC. Orange Grove is one of my favorites but at this time of year is tough. Once the fronts stop coming so often the water will settle and warm and then fishing will get good again.
Sorry you didn't get any Todd, but early fishing in this area, it's hit or miss. You saw what SS posted earlier, he hit a bunch of spots and then found the mother lode. It will only get better.
