    Default Sunday. 2-9 bayou black


    Fished bayou black yesterday for a few hours Caught a dozen. Kept. Nine. Much slower than last trip Fished bass a while no luck went back where I caught the sacalait before coming in. Caught one bass between 4 1/2 and 5 lb sacalait fishing. Always fun to catch the big ones on a jig pole caught one of paw paw genes racing crappie

    First racer I see down here. Nice going SS, those large bass are fun on those jigging poles. Thanks for the pictures.

    I've caught lots of racers through the years. Never pay much attention thought that one I noticed when cleaning.

    Nice. I went to bayou black today and got skunked on sacs but managed 5 nice bass. Water was very low.

    Yeah released her. Actually I released almost every bass I caught most of my life. Used to and still do a good bit bass fishing. Releasing I figured helped population. Plus there are better fish to eat. Keep some now as we pan fry them and because of there texture they are perfect for that
