Just a few pics today. Saw "git the net" but didn't get a chance to say hi. We had a good day. Here's a pic of my son and his first fish of the day---they were really slow for a while, and took a while to find 'em. The greedy little jerk caught all the big ones today, after whining earlier that we "need to go home because there's not any fish out here". He limited out about the time I predicted he would later in the day. I forced him to say, "thanks for taking me fishing, Dad, and you were RIGHT again...." on the way home as a requirement for a "go" on the next trip. Almost killed him but he squeezed it out. I was pleased. The other pics are my father and his friend. They didn't catch numbers but had 3 really nice ones--- 2.2, 2.4, and 2.5 lbs. We had really nice fish, but none that big.

"So many places to fish so little time to fish them!"
Great pics. You all did good. Was this LOP? or Black Bayou? I am so ready to get to Hosston and go fishing.
THanks for the coments. It was indeed a good day. Wishing for another but the wind just doesn't seem to want to stop.
Charliee---it was LOP. I was off today and went for a couple of hours until the wind blew us off the lake. We only caught 12 but they were really nice ones. We had about 4 or 5 fish that were around 2 lbs., the rest were about 1 3/4.
The bayou is looking a little better, but still lots of salvinia floating around. Much better than it was. Lots went over the dam.

Last time I was up there all the salvinia was brown. I am hoping this cold weather is doing a number on it. Got some more cold on the way this week so stay warm. The cove where my camp is located is still packed with the stuff last time I was up there but I am hoping is is ding from the cold. I am ready to do some fishing.
Reports are that they are catching them on the yo-yo's on the bayou. Holler if you come up. F & AM meetings 2nd and 4th Thursdays, BTW. You should bring your boat one weekend when the wind is predicted to be calm and follow me up to LOP.
Later,
