Default First trip 2014 Bundicks lake

Well i decided to head to bundicks lake this morning to try out the new homemade yak trailer and the new seat i bought. I couldnt be happier about both. The trailer is the perfect hight for launching the yak. The new seat completly changed everything about fishing from the outback. Everything was easier to reach. Fish where easier to land. Peddling felt more natural and best of all is after 6 hours of fishing i didnt have a sore musle one!

I found 2 small schools of fish, both in 10'-12' of water around fallen trees. Jigs did just as good as shiners although most the white perch took the shiners while the blacks ate up the jigs. Kept 20 for dinner.

Never fished from a yak before but that is a nice set up. Thanks for the report, a nice mess of fish.

Way to go! Good to see a score for the yak crowd. I paddled Chicot for the first time and scratched on the fish. Had a good time though. Never been to Bundics.

Nice! That setup looks just about like mine is in my new yak. I got mine to fish bundicks when it is down. Made one trip there, fished 3 hours and didn't get a bite! You fishing by the spillway or by the bridge?
    Thanks for the pictures!
