To all those coming we wanted to mention that a couple people had to cancel. However the show goes on. We have a number of guests coming from 1000 miles or more. They will not be bringing boats and we want to get them some fishing time. If you have a seat to spare respond to this thread. We only need a couple as I have room for 2 myself. We want them to experience our beautiful lake from a boat and we want to make sure everyone who wants to fish gets in some hours. The event will happen even if the weather is bad and the fish don't cooperate. I for one look forward to the fellowship, as it was great meeting everyone last time and I have made some lasting friends. I'm also asking those coming to bring a pack of fish for the fry if you can.(just in case) I have a few to spare and our main host Tracker123 has some as well. Based on the food list so far, we will eat like kings. There will be a few door prizes this year and anyone wanting to bring something to donate, we will add it to the drawing. Remember, this is not a tournament, but a meet and greet, with a little fishing involved. Looking forward to seeing everyone and will be glad to meet some of our c.c leaders as well. But you will see, they are just a bunch of gubers like us all.(esp. G) Getting excited!!

Making progress, one seat opened up already.
Still plan on being there. Cabin #3. Was also wondering if the cabins are equipped with refrigerators and stoves. Anyone know? Do I need to bring my own
skillet, pots and pans? Got plenty of paper plates, etc. I may want to scramble an egg on the stove if available. Is there a restaurant at San Miguel?

Yes, they are full size, along with an oven, coffee pot, and microwave. Basic cooking pots, pans, etc. as well. You are on the hill when you first drive into the cabin area. The crappie.com sign will be right in front of your cabin. Standing on your porch, if you look to your right - the first cabin will have G etc., and the second cabin will have Shadow (Dwayne). Also, the lodge (which will have a sign pointing to it driving toward the boat ramp past the RV area) is large with everything there as well. It will be open all day Friday and Saturday. Let us know if you need anything or any questions. Thanks.

Toledo Town, which is the four way stop sign on Hwy 6 has the Toledo Town Bait and Tackle (large Exxon gas station). Some serious breakfast there, and they stay busy. I always get a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant or biscuit there on my way out. Next door is El Giro Mexican restraint in which I tear up their chili rellenos. Others are around, Danny is checking them out and will let us knowIs there a restaurant at San Miguel?

You also have a shell station near you, couple miles, that cooks breakfast and killer burgers and home fries. I would bring a couple favorite pots and egg pan anyway. Zwolle has a Dairy Queen and super market. About 5 miles. There is a new steakhouse on the Texas side of Pendleton Bridge and a nice home style restaurant at the foot of the La. side of the bridge. Most of us will meet for dinner Thursday at El Giro's Mexican at the 4 way stop in Toledo town. This is not a big community, so don't expect too high. Also, for anyone who may need the campground is about 15 miles from a super walmart in Many, La.

Now, I feel informed as to my surroundings. Thanks for this info. Got to have some aigs for breakfast for sure.
There is a nice Market Basket supermarket in Toledo Town..just west of the Exxon station mentioned previously. I second the vote on the hamburgers at Maria's shell station..really good. Also, j&j's on 1215 has non-ethanol gasoline if you guys are concerned about ethanol content..
The Mexican restaurant is really good..I normally get the fajitas item 8 or9, can't remember, but the serving is huge and takes care of two meals for me, lol.
Hopefully my boat will be ready..got a 22 foot blazer bay so I can carry another person in addition to the two of us who are planning to join y'all..if not we'll be using his party barge which can handle some more fishermen as well.
Btw..do we need to send some sort of registration fees? And how does some t-boys boudin sound?
