    Default Yesterday at D'Arbonne


    The water level is a little over a foot above pool, The water is slightly stained and lots of floating and suspended stuff from the weed beds. Most folks that we talked to caught only a few Crappie and lots of bar fish. we saw one fellow catching on the edge of the channel using using Blue Thunder . The shad are so thick in the channel sonar has a hard time finding bottom. We managed to find a spot with thin lines of shad 19 foot deep and caught 5. all were large females full of roe, Not small eggs sacs. All Crappie we saw caught in the channel were small . Those thin lines of shad had large fish all mixed in with them. The water temp in the low 50s....

    Fished yesterday up there as well. Started out real slow ended up with 22 a couple of real nice ones. Back to the ducks for a few days. Waiting on wind to die down. Caught mine on a bluegrass slab buster
