Barry introduced me to jig fishing sacs 18 years ago.....but shiners ruled the day today......up at 4 AM.....4 sandwiches, 2 thermos's coffee, ice, donuts, shiners then launched at the crack of dawn in the dense fog at 6:30....wished I had taken a pic of the fog.....had to go slow in the fog to the spot....first ones there....good....started slow....tried different depths to see where they would like to bite.....most fish caught around 8ft. in 14 fow....after the fog lifted and the sun came out they liked it at 11 ft....slowly, the boats came and one actually got close enough to tie up to the piling Barry was fishing next to....see pic....they got a good trolling motor prop wash as we left....Vet found us and talked to him for a while.....thanks for stopping Tal.....should have snapped your picture.....from another post looks like "The Fisherman" must have buzzed past us today....one guy saw my CDC stickers and asked if I knew the "Fireman"....I replied that I did because I recruited him to CDC....he said that was his good friend.....he admitted to being a "lurker" and knew my handle.....told him to join in the fun....

we wound up with 22 keepers.....Barry got the big one at 13 1/2"....we must have thrown back at least 10 small ones....great day....looking forward to going back....maybe Tuesday....Didi has eye surgery tomorrow so staying home with her for that.....
