Interesting. Not many posts on here about Wallace Lake. I'd been thinking there weren't many fish there or we'd hear more about it. Strange to find them so shallow right now though, IMO.

Yes I was thinking same thing. Odd dept for them right now. It was close to the spillway.

I've lived here my entire life and never laid eyes on the lake. May need to go look for it one day and try it out.

Yeah it's not a bad place to fish. Most people have forgotten about it. It even says online when u Google Wallace like dam. People were saying it's the best crappie like around.

We used to kill them on Wallace. 20 years ago it was about the only place I fished. It's pretty covered with vegetation now, but still doable.i miss fishing there.

They're probably feasting on migrating shad, trying to fatten up for winter, before they go deep. I don't know how all of this early extended cold weather is going to affect it this year.

Does anyone fish Lake Bisteneau? My dad fished there when I was a kid back in the middle 50's.

Iron man the salvinia is pretty bad there. It's taking over that lake.

We used to go out to Bodcaw Bayou also. And there was a place on the base we used to catfish. I know Poverty Point is a ways from you but do you know anything about it?
