    Cool North Louisiana

Well since we aren't naming names I went to Funroe last weekend to visit and got to fish twice. First day went to Hollands Bluff and fished for 2 hours and caught 4 fish. Water looked great and wish I had more time to spend that day. Sunday went one parish south and fished from 3 til 6 and caught a good mess of fish. Fished in the shade the first 30 minutes and nothing and went out into the sun and the fish were 2' deep in the tops. Name: P1010205.jpg

This is the last tripletail I have seen, made a run to Rockefeller to catch shrimp then Big Lake for trout and reds and this one was on a crab trap right before Turner's Bay.

very nice. I'm thinking maybe in a couple weeks if we have a nice cold front roll through the shrimping should get pretty good down at the rock.. I am going to try and make a run down there once i can. will have to try and make a day of it like you did and hit BL for trout & reds after.

Yes, when hunting season rolls around the crowds decrease and it takes longer to sift the pogies out your basket than it does to catch your limit of shrimp. Its pretty awesome
