    Default Spring Bayou 8/17


    Today was pretty tough. Fishing was slow but me and the brother in law were able to pick up 9 sacs, 6 goggle eye and one nice chinquapin by 10 am. I'm not gonna lie, with the cooler weather this morning I was kinda wishing I was in the woods doing a little work for the upcoming hunting season.

    great pics and good catch for the weather conditions...barometer up...high pressure....did the fish come from the deep.......?

    Does spring bayou have giant salvinia like our lakes do?
    My uncle JC Carmouche, from Marksville, fished there his whole life.

    Went last weekend and had similar numbers, but man the size was terrible. I may have been in the same lake as that, but stayed near the lotus.

    Salvania was there this year but I think it was Lesser Salvania.
