    Default Bistineau 12/21/12

Hit Bist early this morning, was chilly. Started spider rigging in 14-15 fow. Slow slow day. Threw in the towel with 16 at around noon. Tried some different areas and depths, but no success. I think the weather has certainly affected the bite. At least I wasn't at work!! Threw back at least a dozen or so small ones. The ones we kept were nice.

    Good luck, be safe,

Bistineau and I go back a long, LONG way. Always glad to see she's still providing some good fishing.
    Good eye candy, too!
Glad you caught a mess. Next time try to get a tree-pic somewhere in your post. Certain old folks would appreciate it.
    Merry Christmas.

Me and my wife want to fish Bistineau, but only found one boat launch still open and it looked a little rough. We lived on Teague Dr. right on the water for years. Let me know which launch you found if you would....

    Thanks

Dr. Jay, 16 is twice what I need to bring home. Thanks for the report. I hope to fish Bistineau one day. I've only seen it from the bank but it's about the prettiest place I've ever seen.

Thanks BigJohn, but I don't know when I'll be heading north again. With Christmas and New Years right around the corner and then if we go the the Bend it looks like we are full up for a while. Thanks for the offer, I keep it in mind if we get to go soon.

You can launch out of Port of Bistineau off yelow pine road. It looks ugly, but luanches fine. I got my 18 foot Z-7 in with no trouble
