    Default Black Bayou 12/22/12

Got to go to Black Bayou for a while yesterday. It was cold in the morning, but turned out to be a nice day, but a little windy. Bite was super slow. Ended up with 14, but that's
only after 1 guy didn't want his 4, then a little while later, X19 came by, then gave me his 2 as well. Caught some right off the botttom in 17 fow, and a few under a cork about 9 ft
deep. Everything was on shiners. Hopeing to get a few hours tomorrow morning with the brother-in-law. It's been a long while since he's fished, so I hope he gets to go.
Here's the pic of what I caught and the 'gifted' ones! If I forget to mention it later, hope everyone has a very merry Christmas with your family and friends! Be safe!

    Scott:

Nice bunch of fish. You know that those "gifted" fish taste pretty much just like the ones that you caught. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

Went to my mother-in-law's house tonight and had some other family over. We fried some, and baked some the 'SportCity/CajunDave' method. MAN was it good!! May be my new favorite way to cook fish!

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!

:You better grab a few extra cans of the creme of shrimp soup because not all the stores stock it and it seems to go fast at our local Walmart in Shreveport. Most other stores that stock it are about 50 cents a can more than Walmart. Glad you like it.

Thanks Wally! I'd never heard of it before, and anyone I've mentioned it to has never heard of it either. Found it at Super 1 though as well, so maybe between the different stores, they can keep me in stock when needed! lol
Also thought about using some lump crab meat as well with that. Would probably taste similar to stuffed fish, or maybe even better! Appreciate you sharing your find with us!
Hope you and Evelyn, and everyone else here had a great Christmas!
    Scott
