    Question C. Bickham Dickson Park??

I did a search on Bickham Dickson park and found a thread from here from about 5 years ago. Someone stated that a game warden said that it was a state park, and that city laws and ordinances didn't have jurisdiction, which meant that you CAN have a motor on your boat. He was going to research it more but never said anything. Does anyone know if this is true and where to find proof of it? I literally live 5 minutes away, but I don't want to have to take my motor off of my jon boat every time I want to fish out there. Also, does anyone know if the fishing is good out there? Just curious, since it is a lot closer to me than Cypress. Hope everyone is having a great day. Here is a link to the earlier thread.... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/louis...ark-rules.html

I don't know if it's true or not. I believe someone else posted once that you must have a Cross Lake sticker on your boat as well, but not sure about that either. Calling the Cross Lake patrol might be a place to start looking as well. As for fishing, I've heard it could be good, but I've never really fished it. If you live that close, you'll know the river 'feeds' it sometimes, so there's bound to be fish in there. Hope you find someone that can tell you the official rules.

The LSU/City park Lakes do have sacs in em. And I know were.

The rule is no running outboards. The DWF said best thing to do is remove your fuel tank. Then there's no question of you operating your outboard. HTH

A buddy of mine use to fish in a reserve that had a 25 hp limit on the motor and he only had a 40 hp so he would take the gas tank out of the boat and just use his trolling motor without having to take the motor off the boat. Don't know if he ever got checked but I would think you could make a good point without having gas to run the motor.

Jig Rig, care to share where I might find some slabs in Bickham Dickson? Thinking about taking my daughters out there this weekend.

I just got off the phone with Cross Lake Patrol, and he said you need a Cross Lake Sticker to fish Bickham Dickson, and he said you just have to trim your motor up and don't crank it. He said there are older folks that live out there that have nothing better to do than watch with binoculars trying to bust people. The guy was very nice, so I am gonna pick up a sticker and hopefully take my girls out there this weekend. Anybody know of good spots in there? I have never been on that lake. Hope everyone has a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

Oh yeah, I also called the regional office of DWF, and they told me that it was a City Park, not a State Park.
