Made a nice little half day haul at cocodrie lake. Caught all of them on a cork and jig around the trees on the main channel. Blue/white and black/chartruse.

Man, that is a FINE mess of fish!
I like your little cartoon below the pic, too. Do you think folks like the guy in the yellow boat are plain ole inconsiderate or just blatantly clueless?
Whatever, save a few for seed.

I have a few words for folks like that Pete, but they are not appropriate for this site....

I grew up fishing Cocodrie. My grandparents had a camp there. Dad and I use to bass fish there all the time. Had some great trips, especially in the fall. Did you launch at Clark's? If so, how is the launch there? Nice catch. Been to Chicot lately?

Tiger, yes I launched at clarks. High water did that place some good. The lake is beautiful with very little grass in it.

I fished chicot several times this spring. We caught a bunch of chinqapen and white perch. The Perch are numerous, but small.

Nice catch , bw. I haven't been to Cocodrie in 20 years. The last time I went, my fishing partner stuck a huge hook into his hand while trying to land a choupique. We had to go to the emergency room to get it out. I might have to try Cocodrie in a few days. Acey loves that place. I'm sure you know who I'm referring to. Thanks for the post and pic.
