It has always been my impression that fishing the 4 bayou area was better on a falling tide or low tide. I have not been to 4 bayous in a while, but if I am not mistaken when you get into what I call the main bayou you want to go to the second bayou to the right and then go all the wat to the back, for the deep water. However, that canal has a lot of stumps running down the middle of it. So do try fishing the center all the way down.

One thing to watch out for. The land around all the bayous is leased to a hunting club. These boys hunt with air boats. I have seen them come out of the marsh and almost clear the whole bayou. Just keep a watchful eye out.

Crappiejerker as long as the water is moving is a good sign the fish are feeding but from fishing the marsh in the past I have noticed that a falling tide is much better for the simple fact that rising water normally brings dirty water in. but some times like the four bayou area a high tide has worked to my advantage if you are in the right area and know where to fish in the canal we are talking about in four bayous there are areas with large cypress stumps along the bank that can only hold fish when the water is high enough to do so. but you may have to go all the way to the back of the canal to find clearer water during high tide.

thanks for the info on the marsh .I start getting chills down my back when it gets this close to the fishing trip . I sure hope I can find a few slabs to make a good fry . My wife would then understand why I keep going back time an time again and catch nothing . I tell her its like a gambling problem that next time might be the big one . lol

This thread has me interested in giving this locatin a try. I know it has been sometime since the last post but does any one have any updated information on this area?
