    Default D'arbonne Bayou this weekend

Finally got all the family visiting done and headed up to Holland's Bluff about 2:30 Saturday. Only 4 or 5 boats there. Ouachita River was 1st choice but figured the boats would have been ridiculous. Ran up a couple miles and fished the treetops. Ended up with 15 fish about 3/4 -1 lb. Just good eating size fish, nothing special considering our shiners were as big as they were. Caught all the fish on the ends of treetops about 5 feet deep. Water looks great and there are plenty of new trees that have fallen that look real promising for the future. Caught em on shiners, very very large shiners! The store right in the fork before you get to the bayou had some fillet size shiners and they count them one by one! If you pay for 50 you get 50 back, takes them 15 minutes to bring them to you also. The old Jowers meat market is now open and they have shiners there I heard and they are open on Sundays, otherwise the Honey Hole is still the best bet around.
