    well the wife and i went to the Bend and caught us a couple of nice we had one go 5 pound and the other went 3 but no crappie all i can say it was hot hot hot so we did our fishing at night going back on the 7th with my 2 sons and my grndson and we are thinking on getting the Covington guide service to bring us crappie fish think we have a chance hahahha.

    You're right, it is hot up there. It was 100+° when I went. Didn't shut down the fishing though. Rode the outside of the boat lanes in deep water looking for the brush piles on the fish finder. Fish were on them. Also under the Pendleton bridge. Wind finally died down after 6 months! Good luck.

    I hear most people fish Pendleton bridge at night. I've never been up there. Which end (Tx. or LA)
    is the best piers to fish in the daytime?

    If you fish the pendleton bridge i fish the la. side bridge supports 2 thru 16 or 18 have fish habitat around them and is lighted. i uaually fish from about 1am to 7 or 8 am. You can also tear the white bass up, they will be on the shad under the lights.............Granite

    Ditto. I have caught there during the day as well.........when the wind is not bad.
