Hit larto for my 1st day of 4 off and got a late start I started fishing at the buzzards Roost at 8:00am 3 poles set with shiners and 2 poles set up with (black and CHARTRUSE) Jigs its was mega windy today I had poles tangled and tangled and TANGLED. but I stuck with it and just cut the line and retied it I fished till 2:00pm and come home with 40 the fish are medium to large size and the shiners was producing 5 to 1 more fish than the Jigs was. I was fishing about 12 to 16 foot deep. I'm starting to see more and more people fishing the banks in 2 to 4 foot with corks but most fish in the areas I'm fishing are still coming from the 12 to 16 fow range the water temp today was 52 at it warmest. My wife fished but only was able to land 2 fish she did however catch the biggest fish of the day and get this she caught it on a red unbated hook hanging over the back of the boat... well let me go clean these fish I need to retie all my Jigs on the poles for in the morning
Hope to see you on the water....

Congratulation to both of you at Larto. It looks like we are going to miss the heat of the action with out March 25-27 spring gathering dates. Oh well.
