Default FYI- Yucatan and Bayou Macon cutoffs

Went to Yucatan on the 15th. Caught 3 nice crappie around the floating peirs. 20 to 21 foot deep. Using shiners!! From the lady at the landing they have been catching a few but they have been good fish. The river started falling on the 15th around 6in a day for this week. Water temp of 45

Bayou Macon cutoffs are muddy but they had a water temp of 53, so it wont be long!!!!
I'm so broke, I cain't even pay attention!!!

I hope I can find a few this weekend, should be falling about 7/10" a day.Water temp is still pretty cool, but if I can find some suspended fish i think I can catch a mess. May have to take me of couple cans of dog food and sink it in a couple of my holes Friday evening when i get there.

I hope they are biting, talked to a guy who goes down there alot yesterday. He stated that he caught some around the floating
piers. He was in a boat in 20 fow catching them in 16-12' water. With the water falling that fast is this good. Good Luck to you.

I have never tried it,but a guy with a camp on Yucutan told me it would work and does it it sometimes,I hope they will bite with that much fall, would like it to be falling a little slower though, but hey I can't pick my days.
