    Default Black Baou Hosston

Went to the camp on Thursday evening ,spent the night then went bream fishing Friday morning. We never could find a bed even though we caught a mess of fish. It was a here and ther thing. The interesting thing was tat when we cleaned the fish they were full of eggs which I think means that they havent bedded up yet. Most interesting was that we wound up with what looked like a small white crappie and it was fulll of eggs. We seem to think that the extreme cold weather this past winter had slowed some things down.

    Charliee -
Glad you had a good day, but there's one thing that stumps me. How come you drive all the way to BB Hosston when Corney Lake is just north of you?
During April and May I've put a few good hits on the bluegills and redears there, fishing in the shade on the tops of the little submerged islands. And you can camp out there too.
Anyway, just curious. Maybe Corney Lake passed away since the last time I was there - it has been a while!

Well Pete, my son lives in Bossier and his best friend is a Shreveport fireman and they were the ones that found the camp and wanted to buy it. I am just a partner in the thing. However my father was from Vivian and he used to take me fishing there many years ago when I was a child. So in a way its like a homecoming to me. I just enjoy getting away and destressing up there and the fishing is and added bonus.

I got you. BB Hosston is (Was?) a pretty lake, with all those stumps that just had to have a big 'n laying beside them. Wish I'd have fished it more often, but back when I lived in Shreveport, it was awfully hard to pass up Caddo to get there!
    Take care.
    Pete
