Shellcrackers and Bluegills - Pics

Sounds like you boys had a ball down there!!
I got drool all over my keyboad now. lol

Huck, we spent 5 days there this week and slammed the gills and redears too. Got a couple pics posted on the PA board of some pound and a half redears. Wont hijack your thread by posting them here. Caught over 700 fish in 5 days. That lake is on fire. Been fishing there for over 20 seasons, a week or two at a time, and never seen so many boats during the early week as this year. Wish i lived about 620 miles closer.:D

Thanks for the post Chaunc, looks like a lot of folks are having a good time on the lake right now. I'm guessing when the lake started getting a lot of weeds in it a few years back, that's why the bluegill and redear populations have taken off. And with the high water this year it looks like the fish may have had another tremendous spawn. The fishing prospects for the lake are looking very good for the next few years.
