You didnt mention when you were coming. Theyre holding the water back now, expect it to be at summer pool by Apr 15. We had pretty good luck this week in coves with stickups, 10 - 12 ft water, but yesterday finally found them in brush next to deep water off main channel. Guess cold front put them down. After water comes up, try looking for them around brush piles and stake beds, also stick ups in Red rock, furnace cove, and Connoloway (sic) creek. also Briar Creek is full of brush piles. Know this hasnt been much help, but these areas are popular with locals, so these places are worth checking out or asking about when you get here. good luck

If we don't get some rain I don't think it will be summer pool by the 15th.

With a small boat, furnace cove would be a good place to start, its the first cove down lake from moutadier ramp, same side of lake. Full of stickups. Mid april should be good time if weather stabilizes a little. Im heading back to Weiss Lake first weekend in april, hoping for decent weather there too.

    Default Thanks WalleyeDan

Its the quality of the fish, not the quantity that keeps me going back. Last trip I had one weighed 2.8 lbs., several in 2 lb range. One boat had 3 over 3 lbs. (not a guide either). Gonna fish Nolin today for little while, will report on it later.
