    Default Kentucky rig/leaders?


    What is the best method to tie 2 leaders above the weight while using a K-rig...Thanks

    Don't know there is a best method, but I tie two dropper loop knots above the weight. I then tie short leaders with stiff line connecting loop to #2 hook. Other knots can be used though, I just like this one better. Grizzly jig also sells the wire spreaders to tie the hooks off of like the way the commercial rigs, but I haven't ever tried this.

    I have always found the best method to be stopping by the closest bait and tackle shop on the way to the ramp. :D

    This is what we use. You can find them at bait stores from $.50-$1.00 a piece. We do take the hooks off and use our own.
