The past week it had ice on both ends.Have not seen it today. With all the rain in the last twenty four hours I would say it will be coming down muddy.Fishing has been aliitle slow the last couple of weeks with all the ice and the cold weather.

seeing as how you live in Cincy, you MUST have a clue as to the effects of the ice storm we just had .... what makes you think it's any better down here
We've had to call in hundreds, if not thousands, of extra utility workers ... not to mention, the National Guard ... just to help restore electrical power and clean up the downed trees/limbs. And, with the weakened trees & tree limbs ... and the incoming snow/high wind event ... it's only going to get worse. It's not really a safe place to be, right now ... and may not be for a couple more weeks. Personally, I wouldn't chance it for a 5-6hr trip ... even if I were guaranteed a limit of Slabs (and I'm as much a Crappieholic, as the next guy )

Larry, sounds like he thinks you and starvin is coming down to clean out the lake.

... I was not being mean spirited ... I am sincerely concerned for your safety, as I am for any site member.
You said you were planning on coming down this Sunday ... the first day, after the ice storm, where the temps will get above freezing. That's going to be a day when the ice will start to melt, and sounds like a overall good thing ... but, it will also be a day when that ice will start dropping off the things currently coated, and that can be as dangerous as ice covered trees/limbs falling. I just wanted you to have a safe and productive trip, and was concerned about the timing of your trip plans, given the current circumstances.

I sincerely want out of state anglers to come in and enjoy our waters. But, I want them to have a safe and productive trip, so that they will want to come back ... and encourage others to do the same.

Yates and starvin can and will find fish in any lake they go to so you don't have to worry about them.

I don't think pappy is questioning their ability. He's just reinforcing how bad the conditions are in that part of the state. BEFORE they get to the water. Sheesh!
