    Default Crappie on Big C

Fish around the Burnside Marina slips. My parents used to live down there and would walk out onto the slips and fish with minnows and do well. With lake down now it could be different. Also Fishing Creek is usually a good creek to fish.

    Default Big C crappie

    Thanks.

I'm used to wood and small bodies of water. Cumberland even with low water is still a lot of water.

    Default well kept secret

I've lived on cumberland toward the lower end of the lake many years. Was s guide for 11 years. Crappie are mostly blacks and really nice size. Look for fish around any and all stmps, fallen trees, and other structures next to the shore including small docks. In the spring the fish will be from 2 to 8 feet deep. jigs or minnow bothe work very well. If you put your boat in at burnside I've had good luck in the big southfork river. Hoe you all the best of luck and good fishing
