    Cool Taylorsville Report

    Went yeasterday (Sunday)
Water was 71 to 74 degrees (surface)
    Lake is about 4' down.
Caught my limit useing jigs tipped with minnows fishing
in 25' water around the larger trees.
Couldn't get them to hit a regular jig, had to use a minnow
on it, very unusual for me.
Could only get one fish at most locations, had to keep moveing.
They were biting very soft and most times couldn't tell
if they had it. Should start picking up now

Thumbs up Thanks for the report JC ...

I think the lake is about FIVE foot down ... or about 1ft lower than Winter Pool. No appreciable rain has dropped the lake sooner than normal, much the same as what happened last year.

How deep down were the fish, around these trees in 25ft of water

    I couldn't get a fix on depth.
Some were down more than 15' deep and I had
a couple hit my jig right at the surface.
I went again Saturday (18th) and everything was the same,
I got some nice fish, but only one per location and
at varying depths. Mostly out in the deeper water, 25'
The water was down to 68 deg.
They're still barely biting it, wouldn't hit my jig unless
I had a minnow on it, and even then it was hard to tell when
    they had it.

Thanks for the reports JC, glad someone is getting to hit the lake and having some luck. What size are you catching on average?? Keep the reports coming.

    Take care,
    Greenfish

Most of mine were in the 10" range.
They sure are getting thick for their size.
