Nice, I've been out in that area a few times & I agree, you do hold your breath, haha, I would say shut your eyes too but only if you aren't the driver.

Congratulations to those that fish and live in the Kentucky/Barkley Lake area. On the website explorekentuckylake.com I read about the new project to put in a four lane highway and new bridges across both lakes. That will be one heck of an improvement over holding your breath when crossing as it is now.
A tip of the hat to those that have worked on this project and will see it to completion.

Jesus Said: Come, follow me & I will make you fishers of men.

Wiskers:
I've fished below the 68 bridge on Kentucky Lake and for years along the east bank. It amazed me to watch how they managed to move thru that narrow opening. In my next life I'll figure that one out. Until then, play with the fish in the boat and don't bait your hook over your barley water.
I am not sure what the current plan is for the bridge but they have axed the heck out of the budget for it. The last time I heard anything about it (couple of months ago) the new bridge isn't going to be anywhere near what was originally planned to replace the current one.
I live 20 minutes southwest of the bridge. They can't even come up with the money to surface approximately 7 miles of the highway in Calloway county. It is the only section left unopen from KY Lake to Mayfield.
