    Thumbs up Ky Lake Report

I have been crappie fish'n hard for about the last week with exception of the day the hurricane hit!

Lord I don't get where they say there arn't any little crappie. I'll bet in the last week I've cought 300 7" to 9 3/4" fish. I've been moving around and finally located some good fish on top of the ledges that rise up to 10' to 12' of water. Yesterday I had 16 GOOD fish & today 14. In the mix I probably caught 100 dinks. Been catch'n them about 9' to 10' deep vertical jig'n a 3/32 oz jig with yellow & chartruse 1 1/2" tubes. Also Chartruse panfish assasans. Just about anywhere you find brush in 12' to 13' of water with deeper water close there has been fish.

    Good Luck

Thanks for the report. I was just about to PM you and ask what they were doing. Going to try to get down there next month if the plans work out. This cooler weather has me thinking about fish.

We'll probably be at Hillmans late Oct. or early Nov.

I wish I could go that late. My son's break is earlier this year. We went down the end of October a few years back and really nailed them. Weather was perfect, fishing was great. Eating fresh crappie every night. I about cried when we had to head home.

    Default Countin the days

Man we are counting the days till we go back down to Ky Lake. We leave the 17th of Oct. Will be there till the 26th of Oct. We have had great luck down there in the fall in late Oct and one time the first week of Nov. Great weather, hardly any boat traffic. Almost have the lake to ourselves. ALMOST. We don't even go down and fight the crowds in the spring any more.
Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.
