Going Tuesday and Wed. maybe Thursday if don't get to hot. Any ideas on where to get started? We will be staying up around Holmes Bend area but will travel for Crappie.

Very few crappie to brag on. What we caught were around the bridge. We fished the flats in 20' of water but w/o knowledge of where the brush piles are that's a lot of water to cover. Did manage to pick up one 4 lb. small mouth and a walleye and a few cats. Those were caught on the hump down by the dam. Good time on the water though. For those wanting to stay at the lake I would recommend the cabins at Holmes Bend. Very nice as were the folks at the marina.

Thank's for the report.Did you try the channel edges at and below the bridge? Also the steep bluff in front and to the left of the dam usually hold crappie but all I ever caught there were small.

We did try the edges on either side of the bridge with no luck. Did not try bluff walls by the dam. We also tried the creek channels that were 20 or more feet deep and along the timber. No luck there either. Guess Ky teacher has the low down on the brush piles in deep water. Talked to some fellows who were pulling crank baits out in front of the beach area. They were not catching anything. Water temps were in the mid 80's throughout the lake. Never made it to the cut through so can't report on that side.

Thank you Ky Teacher. Think we will wait until Fall and try it again. It's been a while since I have fished Green River and had forgot what a nice lake it was.
