    Default T'vill report 5/16

Went Friday and it was real slow.
Got only 3 keepers useing minnows and jigs.
They were full of eggs and caught in deep water,
I couldn't get anything in close.
I think they're still waiting to spawn.
Water had cooled some, got temps in the low 60's
compared to two weeks earlier of upper 60's.
    The water was high too.

Thanks for the report. I went to T-ville a week or so ago for about 3 hours and caught one keeper on a jig and one short fish on a minnow. I may try it again for a few hours this weekend (before the boaters hit the lake).

    Take care,
    Greenfish

Exclamation They may well be waiting to spawn ...

but, it don't look too good for this years crop. Even if they do get a chance to spawn, it's going to be a very narrow window of opportunity for them. Incessant rains, and upcoming daytime temps in the 80's, may make it really tough for them to get off any kind of decent spawn.
And even if they do, the surviving fry are going to be a month behind schedule, in getting big enough to survive the Winter.

Looks like the early AM hours, casting to blowdowns on shaded banks, is going to once again be the method of choice during the upcoming months

    thanks for the report !!
