saturday report

My Dad and I headed down to Herrington Sat morning, put in at Bryants went left back up the river fishing trees and stickups not much luck, I am not that familar with Herrington but water was low, another man said they had been pulling it hard the last two weeks. That must have been what was wrong cause we didnt catch but one little crappie and a 6' bass or I just forgot how to catch a fish. I remembered CP saying they went on to Cedar Creek, so we loaded up at noon and went there. MAN pretty weather and boats everywhere!!!!! We started fishing around stickups using jig tipped with a minnow caught one 7' crappie one 13 inch bass (which was a ball on light crappie pole) then trolloing motor went dead. Tried to tie up and fish but the other boaters were beating us to death. Did catch another 8" black crappie right on the bank. hard to fish without trolling motor.
So half aggrevated we just headed on back home.
Well anyway a bad day fishin is still better than a good day at work
I think I am going to have to pay someone to give me fishing lessons I just aint having much luck this year. I thought about just elling the boat, take the money and go to Captain D's. LOL NAH!! can't do that.
Well sorry I couldnt give you a better report but thats how it was!

Kingfish, a working trolling motor sure beats a paddle huh? Sorry ya had bad luck but get back out there soon. Some days you get em' some days they get you! Take care.

haha, I'm about there too, when the weather's good, I can't go, when it's questionable & I get to go, I'm not doing any good, these fronts are killing me, one after another & it's not helping the fishing any. But at least you all have fun & got to relax a bit, that's worth the trip sometimes.
