We are staying at The Fishtale Lodge. Probably the Marina? Do you have any suggestions?

Crappie24, The water is going to be high and the temperature of the water is probably going to be around 52 degrees. More than likely the fish are going to be scattered. The last time I was out was last Friday and I found most of my fish in 10 - 11 foot water. I caught most of them on orange jig head, pearl or white body and chartreuse skirt. The jig is made by Southern Pro. Right now the forecast is calling for rain on Friday, but should be moved out by Saturday. There will be a crappie tournament on the lake Saturday.

    Gone fishing,

Is the water level around 360 or higher?

Is the water stained or muddy? I see you are using light colored jigs.

    You fishing the tournament?

    Thanks...

    Hey crappie24...

I'll be leaving for the Shawnee Bay Resort early tomorrow A.M.

I expect the water to be high and muddy. Blaze orange-black-chartruse is what I'm starting with, but red-chart or contrasting colors will get a try. We fished Jonathan Creek last year. First time fishing it and we did ok, mostly past the 68 bridge.

You really have to go to Patti's resturant. Get the house specialty pork chops. It's all that and more.

The jig heads I picked up at Cabela's. I also dip a toothpick into a crazy glue bottle and apply where the tube meets the jig head. I also take a little iso-alcohol and wipe the oil off the tip of the tube first before putting it on the jig so the glue sticks well.
