    Default New to Crappie.com

Just wanted to say hi. Been away from fishing for a few years, but got the fever bad this Spring.
I plan on going Crappie fishing this coming weekend at Cave Run Lake, weather permitting. When I went with my Grandad, we put in at Bangor and fished in a little cove just down the lake.
The thing is, none of the guys I am going with have a boat, so we are going to have to rent one or fish from the bank.
Anyone know where some good Crappie fishing from the bank is, or where a good spot is near the marina?
The spot we always went to is on the other side of the lake from the marina.

Thanks in advance and it's been fun reading your stories on here the last couple of weeks.

I can't help you with CRL, but I wanted to welcome you to the site. Good luck this coming weekend. Myself and some friends are going to Percy Priest Lake in TN to try our luck.

I'm not familiar with Cave Run Lake, either. But we need all the help we can get when it comes to fishing these eastern KY lakes, so please post a report on what you tried.

    Welcome to the board!

Welcome, Shane...I'm rather new to posting here too but just wanted to hand out a welcome your way. A lot of good info as I'm sure you already know. Can't help with CR...yet...but I'll bump it with a "Howdy" from the bottom side of KY.

I'll let you know how we do.
The spot I am familiar with has yielded good results in the past. My Grandad and his brother pulled in 103 keepers in one weekend alone. I would like to keep from boating clear across the lake to get there if I can help it though.
    Thanks for the warm welcome

Welcome from a Crimson Tide fan living in Volunteer country. This is the best fishing forum I have been on. You will always get help on a lake if you need some info. It is addicting for sure. I had to get DSL!!
