Default Swan Lake, Ballard County, KY

Has anyone ever fished at Swan Lake for crappie? Just moved back to the area, all of my crappie fishing that I ever did prior to moving was at lake Barkley.
Also, Mitchell Lake in the refuge, any ideas there as well.

    Thanks

I fished there quite a bit when I was 16 to 18 years old and caught lots of crappie w/ several over 2 lbs. Get in there as soon as the river goes back down and you should catch some fish. Also try the smaller lake past Swan on the left....used to catch a cooler full of nice ones in the summer out of there at the bases of the cypress trees. Big bluegill in there as well along w/ grinnel and gar.
