Hate to hear the trip was a bust, but at least you got away for a while. I too am wanting warmer water temps, we have 4 going to Percy Priest Saturday.

Well I went to North East TX for a long weekend. Tried a couple different lakes to catch crappie or Catfish... Bust. I think the cold pushed them back into the cold. Going to try local lakes this coming week... Lets hope the sun warms our waters a little bit.

Take your kids hunting and fishing, and you won't be hunting your kids
I am an avid crappie fisherman, however, I love to bass fish. I have not yet been bass fishing this year. I went to the bass pro shop marketing show weekend before last, the weather was beautiful. Planned a trip this last weekend but got snowed out. I was wondering what lake you are fishing where you have caught bass, and at what depth. I have been hearing of catches on males in one to six feet of water on crankbaits and rogues.
Hate you didn't get on any fish in Texas. Weather and water temp is a very fickle thing this time of year. Hit it right and your on them, if it's wrong it's real wrong. But on the bright side you at least got to wet a line.
I'm trying to eye the weather real close for a trip to KY lake with my son while he's on spring break. We can't leave till Friday and right now looks like rain is moving in. My plan "B" was to leave Monday of next week, but looks like bad weather for Tuesday. We may just have to go and expect to get wet. At least temps look to be stable.
